I hope to qualify for Kona again at Ironman Coeur d’Alene this summer, but if I don’t, I will enjoy the process and whatever lessons I learn along the way.

Goal for 2023-24 is to improve at swimming i.e., get comfortable in pool and open water, finish a sprint distance triathlon event under 1hr 10mins and participate in an Olympic Distance race.

I am a former Collegiate Football Player. I was a 300lb Offensive Lineman for the UNM Lobos.

At the suggestion of one of my former teammates. I entered triathlon as a way to get fit and change my lifestyle. After my first sprint race in 2004 I was hooked! I enjoyed several podium finishes as a “Clydesdale” and made several friends along the way. With those new friends, I transitioned to 70.3(2011) and 140.6(2013) distances. I have been participating in those distances ever since. The sport has allowed me to stay fit, make great friends and travel to cool places like Cozumel and France! I continue to compete in the sport to stay active, support teammates and friends with their goals and promote a healthy lifestyle and discipline.
